Training

The Support Group run training days which are strongly recommended for anyone undertaking the therapy.

Run by experienced members of the support group, they are packed with hands-on information and advice. You will be able to see exactly what the Therapy entails – as well as how to do it. You, and ideally your carer as well, will be shown all the equipment you will need at home in order to juice and prepare the food. Most importantly you will be taken through the daily programme and necessary medications in a clear and simple way. You will be shown how to administer your own injections and the mysteries of the enema bucket!

You will be able to ask questions, which are welcomed throughout the day, and to share your concerns. You will be given masses of information – from where to buy organic foods and safe household products, through to coping with flare-ups and pain control. It may be useful to bring a tape recorder and make notes.

Another benefit of the training is that, should you decide to embark on what is, as you know, a very demanding programme, you will have already made contact with some of the key members of the Gerson Support Group who can be on hand to help.

We strongly recommend that before you come you read A Time to Heal by Beata Bishop as well as watching the Gerson video – Healing at Home. Both are available from the GSG or from Stephen Richards on 01525-875-739.

We ask you to be at Woolhampton by 9.30 am ready for a 10.00 am start as we need a few moments with each person in order to assess their requirements and expectations. The day will end between 4.30 and 5.30 pm.

The cost for the training day is £50 per person. Included in this price are a carrot and apple juice, a green juice, a Gerson lunch, subscription for one year to Coffee 'n' Carrots (the GSG newsletter) and four useful books to get you started on the therapy: the Information Book, the Little Juicing Book, the Little Enema Book and the Simply Gerson recipe book.
